The Education Board is compiling a list of center secretaries and room inspectors who have been relieved of their duties for allegedly assisting in cheating during this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.

This move comes amid growing concerns over a reported increase in cheating incidents during the 2024 SSC examinations.

According to sources at the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, strict disciplinary measures will be taken against those found guilty based on this list.

A formal letter was issued by the Board on Monday (May 5), requesting detailed information on the individuals accused of violating the examination conduct policy. Educational institutions have been instructed to submit the required data in a prescribed format via email by May 14.

The letter specifically asked for the names and details of center secretaries and room inspectors who were removed from their posts during the exams for breaching conduct regulations.

Additionally to punitive actions taken against students involved in malpractice, several teachers have also faced consequences for their alleged roles in facilitating cheating.
