18 members of teenage gang arrested in Cumilla police and joint forces operation

In a series of operations conducted over the last 12 hours in various areas of Cumilla city, the Kotwali Police have arrested 18 members of a teenage gang.

The operations took place from midnight on Saturday (April 26) to noon on Sunday (April 27). Of the 18 arrested individuals, 4 were detained during a joint forces operation, while the remaining 14 were arrested by the Kotwali Police.

The arrested teenage gang members are:
1. Rakib Hasan Shuvo (18), son of Sohel Mia from Baghichagao Boro Mosque area, Cumilla city.
2. Milan (17), son of Sadeq Mia from Bagmara Monohorpur, Lalmai.
3. Mohammad Fahim Hossain (17), son of Faruk Mia from the same area in Lalmai.
4. Nibir Intesear Nishan (19), son of Abul Kalam Azad Babul from Chhapapur village, Jagannathpur Union, Cumilla Sadar.
5. Shahadat Hossain Shanto (19), son of Mohammad Sohel Rana from Ashoktola, Cumilla city.
6. Mohammad Nehal Ahmed (26), son of late Helal Ahmed from 9 No. Ward, New Chowdhury Para, Cumilla city.
7. Sohag (17), son of Alimuddin from a rented house near Sundarban Courier Service, Kandirpar area, Cumilla city.
8. Saimon (17), son of Nizamuddin from the same rented house in Kandirpar.
9. Sabbir (17), son of Shafiqul Alam from the same area in Kandirpar.
10. Sahid (19), son of late Kalu Mia from Chakbazar area, Cumilla city.
11. Hriday (19), son of Zakir from Shukr Mia’s rented house in Sujan Nagar area, Cumilla city.
12. Iftikhar Hossain Tahsin (17), son of Jahangir Hossain from Dattpur village, Lalmai.
13. Shahadat Hossain Tipu (26), son of late Karim Ullah from Ranir Dighir Par, rented house of Dr. Mahbub Hasan, Cumilla city.
14. Mujahidul Islam (22), son of Amir Hossain from Champaknagar (Satra), Cumilla Sadar.
15. Rafiul Ahmed Rafi (20), son of late Akhtar Hossain from the old passport office lane near the Racecourse, Cumilla city.
16. Saiful Islam (19), son of Akhtar Hossain from the Jhautola area, Cumilla city.
17. Imran Hossain Ratan (19), son of late Abul Kashem from 2 No. Ward, Foujdari Mor, DC Office Mosque area, Cumilla city.
18. Shahporan (18), son of Kazi Mizanur Rahman from Kajipara, Sadar Dakshin.

The officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station, Mahinul Islam, has confirmed the operation and arrests.
